Key ways to create employee engagement to improve business performance

On-going learning and development is one of the key ways to cement employee engagement and improve business performance. Having engaged employees, motivated to go that extra mile for their organisation, is one of the benefits that a commitment to business ethics can bring. CIPD research shows that when employers deliver on their promises they reinforce employees' sense of fairness and trust in their organisation. This can lead to performance improvement, higher employee retention levels and lower recruitment costs with improved job satisfaction.
